The team at Lake District based tea and
coffee merchants John Farrer & Co, Kendal,
are pleased to announce that they have
been awarded a 1-star Great Taste award.
The team were awarded an internationally
recognised award for Farrerʼs No1 blended
coffee yesterday (Tuesday, 21st September),
which brings their total number of Great
Taste accolades up to four so far.
For over two centuries John Farrerʼs
Signature blend of high grown Arabica
beans has captivated coffee drinkers.
Carefully sourced from some of the worldʼs
finest coffee regions, Farrerʼs No. 1 Blend is
roasted by a team of experts to deliver a

Each year The Great Taste awards
celebrate the very best artisan and
speciality producers. This year was no
exception with over 14,000 products
submitted into this yearʼs awards, and of
those only 4,027 products were lucky
enough to attain a 1-star accolade.
Judged by 355 of the most discerning
palates, belonging to food critics, chefs,
cooks, restaurateurs, buyers, retailers, and
producers, as well as food writers and
journalists, Great Taste is the most coveted
of all food and drink awards.

won another Great Taste award, adding to
the three we won last year. These awards
