JULY. 2021 | VOL. 19
Chairman's Comment
Welcome to the July edition of “Something’s Brewing” which is packed with news,
stories and features for everyone involved in all aspects of hospitality and beverage
production.
This is the 25th Anniversary year for the BSA and now the restrictions are being
lifted there will be more person-to-person activity, starting with Caffe Culture on 2nd
and 3rd September in London. This is a great opportunity to meet up with friends
and colleagues, and I really hope you can join us there.
This year also sees the launch of the BSA Awards - with the winners to be
announced at Caffe Culture. Winning an award is a great way to get recognition for
your team and your business. As they say, "you've got to be in it to win it", so please
go online and submit your application at:

It could be you receiving an award and applause at Caffe Culture.
As I write, England has narrowly missed out in the final of Euro 2020. However, I'm
sure you'll agree that the team's performance has brought the country together. We
can all be very proud of the team's achievement as we hopefully now navigate Great
Britain beyond the pandemic, Brexit, and on to a stronger economy and buoyant
hospitality sector.
In this issue, we've got some great content looking at the benefits of specialist
barista training, how to get the best from Caffe Culture, the impact of climate
change on coffee, exploring Chinese tea, and news from the BSA and our
members.
Happy reading!
