As we approached the escarpment, the tussock grasses appeared on the scene and

               these were really spectacular in their lushness and their heights not to mention how


               they clung to the steep cliff on its way down to the sea. We ended up about 300 ft.

               above  the  beach  but  that  was  all  right  too  because  what  we  had  come  for  was

               arrayed all around us on the cliff faces: Black browed Albatross in their thousands

               nesting in every available space.
