the hospital being tested for anything broken. She is quite a game gal since she is 96
and on this trip by herself. We hope that all will be well and that she will be able to
continue traveling with us.
GRAN CANARIA ISLAND
At 8:30 AM we reported to the entrance of the hotel so that we could be taken on a
tour of Gran Canaria Island. (MAP) Bernardo, our guide, had a pretty thick accent and
his command of English was not totally fluent. He also didn’t seem to have much to
tell us really. We drove north of the hotel area towards the harbor but turned off in
order to drive to the top of a low hill that nevertheless afforded a good view of the
area. The road was very narrow and we had a couple of “interesting” episodes of
