Our evening boat safari on the Zambezi was equally compelling. Not as
many birds about, but the elephants were very present and engaging in
all kinds of interesting behaviors, bathing, trumpeting, dust spraying,
eating water hyacinths,
and moving up and down
the banks of the river.
Some of these elephants
were actually in
Zimbabwe because the
Zambezi is the boundary
between Zimbabwe and
Zambia, hence the
nickname among travel
guides and travel
countries, "ZimZam."
