What I love about my job is that I am part of the PhuMZILE LEMBEDE - Director
solution to the serious challenges of climate change BSc Hons: Environmental Management
and global warming. Through our Environmental
Impact Assessments (EIAs), we are able to identify
the environmental impacts of various projects at an
early stage and the mitigation measures are then
provided early to ensure that the environment
is protected during these developments. We are
privileged to having been exposed to different
projects. This has allowed us to apply our skills and
use different synergies to tackle different challenges
that come with the project at hand. In our projects,
I get to interact with people from all walks of life and
a variety of different cultures. These include high
ranking government officials, senior managers,
directors of companies, construction workers,
communities who are affected by these projects
and their representatives such as councillors and
chiefs. Through working with people in different
expertise, designations and cultures, I have learnt
to adapt to all sorts of situations and to rise above
every challenge.
