Post' Stage 1' 'let out of lockdown walks' began at either end of the day and the freedom and the beautiful views from the mountains surrounding La Manga Club, that had been so missed were shared. Others sent their 'freedom photos', including a beautiful super moon from Dublin.
Some Ladies started to make plans to travel 'home'. One, in particular, wasfacing the prospect of a two-week quarantine with Bruno (a 55 Kilo, 9-month-old St Bernard) and another looking at a 48-hour journey with very little sleep. All those who travelled arrived safely.
Once the golf courses reopened outside the resort, a small group travelled to Saurines de la Torre to 'oil' their swings! Afterwards, the Last Drop allowed social distance
seating on the terrace, so that they could catch up on the scores. Once La Manga Club opened a course, the ladies resumed their Nine and Wine activities. They celebrated birthdays that had been missed during isolation, and the ladies concerned were generously treated everyone to tapas. Sanitiser was, of course, on hand.
"I never thought I would put more alcohol on my hands than I would drink!"
The Nine & Wine proved that people in lockdown didn't have to be lonely and that even

sharing the most simple things with friends made a positive difference. The banter still continues, and spirits are lifted when most needed. No doubt when thisgroup of 38 can all get together there will be 'one hellofa party!'
