MEMBERSHIP
Section 1 Membership Requirements
The membership of this Organization shall be composed of such Locals in the State of Arkansas
as are chartered and affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters; also, paid fire
fighters in the State of Arkansas who are affiliated with the International Association of Fire
Fighters shall be eligible for membership. Any member of a Local who is an active retired
member of the IAFF upon retirement shall retain membership in the APFF at no cost. They
shall be eligible to hold office in the APFF and shall be eligible to be delegates to the APFF
Convention if elected by their Local. Retired members shall not count in the calculation of
number of delegates as stated in Article 5 Section 2
Section 2 Honorary Membership
The title of Lifetime Honorary Member may be bestowed by a majority vote to any past or
present member of the APFF at each annual Convention. Honorary Members shall have
visitation privileges but shall not have any voting privileges. Honorary members shall be exempt
from payment of dues.
Section 3 Fundraising
Affiliate Locals shall not fundraise within the geographic area of any other affiliate Local without
first obtaining the approval of that Local’s President. In the case of Affiliate Locals whose
boundaries overlap, each Local shall make the other Local’s President aware of their fundraising
efforts prior to beginning any fundraising efforts. This language shall in no way restrict any
affiliate Local from fundraising in any area of the State of Arkansas that is outside of the
municipal limits of any other affiliate Local.
