Section 8 Military Service
Any Member of the APFF who is inducted into or activated with the armed forces of the United
States may continue to be carried as an active member of said union with payment of dues,
assessments or other union charges waived until such member is relieved from active duty with
the armed forces.
Section 9 Annual Budget
The Annual Budget for the following year of the Organization shall be prepared by the
Secretary/Treasurer and submitted to the Organization Trustees for approval at the Quarterly

meeting (February or March) immediately prior to the beginning of the fiscal year. (June 1 )
The approved Budget shall be made available to the membership prior to the beginning of the

fiscal year. (June 1 )
The quarterly audit of finances conducted by the Organization Trustees shall include a review of
the current budget.
An amended budget may be prepared during the fiscal year after being approved by
Organization Trustees, the amended budget shall be made available to the membership within
five (5) business days.
ARTICLE 8
DUTIES AND COMPENSATION
OF OFFICERS
Section 1 President
The duties of the President shall include the following: He/she shall preside over all meetings.
He/she shall be a member of all committees. He/she shall submit to each Convention a written
report of his/her official acts during the period intervening since the preceding Convention.
He/she shall perform all other duties that the Organization shall require of him/her. He/she shall
be Chairperson of the Executive Committee. See Article 4 - Section 5. By virtue of his/her
election to the office, the President shall be a delegate-at-large at all convention and other
meetings held by the APFF and will serve as a delegate to the IAFF Convention and, entitled to
a voice and full participation in the convention. The President shall not be entitled to a vote
