7.7 Orientation Seminar for New Members
One session was held at the Office in December 2015.

7.8 Information Booths (Target – 6 events)
Booths were set up at the following four (4) events:

 Islamic Dawah Movement Camp at Bamboo Mosque
 TTTFS Dinner at Centre Pointe Mall, Chaguanas
 TTTFS Open-Air Eid-ul-Fitr at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya
 TTTFS Family Day at Valencia

7.9 Football Competition
The Society continued to sponsor a Challenge Trophy for the football competition
organized by the Freeport Jamaat/Jamaat-ul-Mutaqiyn.

7.10 T-Shirts
T-shirts with the Society’s logo continue to be sold at $80 each.

7.11 Buntings and Bags
All-purpose buntings and bags with the Society’s logo
printed in 2011 continue to be used viz. as decorations at the
Society’s Open-Air Eid celebrations and at booths held at
various events while the bags were used for packing
children’s gifts and Waqfy Pans.

8. Investments and Finance

8.1 Takaaful Gardens
Phase 1 North (Lots 14-23):
As reported in previous years, Final Approvals from WASA and the Fire Services
Division were received. Final Approval was received in February 2015 from the
Drainage Division. An Application for Final Approval was submitted to the Chaguanas
Borough Corporation and is still being pursued.

Phase 2/Combined with Phase 1 South:
As reported in 2013, by letter dated December 3, 2013, the Town & Country Planning
Division (TCPD) granted Outline Approval for the revised submission comprising 33
residential lots, one institutional plot and 3 open spaces. The conditions outlined in the
approval were pursued. We have received outline approvals from WASA and the Fire
Services. Estimates from T&TEC were received and so also the Outline Approval from
the Drainage Division. An application for Outline Approval was submitted to the
Chaguanas Borough Corporation and this is still being pursued.
