Following to the success of the previous Clean-Up UAE cycles and keeping in line with the suggestions and requests of its stakeholders,
Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) was pleased to broaden its most significant and most popular campaign, by aiming to organise a number
of Clean Up Campaigns throughout 2017. With an overall of 4 major versions and three unique independent projects under the Tidy up umbrella,
Emirates Environmental Group along with the identified and passionate volunteers accumulated the incredible 25 tonnes of waste in 2017. The
event also broadened to consist of a variety of tasks such as tree growing and competitions making it a much awaited and commonly took part
environmental project unlike any other.
The first edition of the Campaigns in 2017 was held in Fujairah on January 31 st, in association with the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge
Development of Fujairah, it saw involvement of 150 figured out students and teachers, who gathered an overall of 1 tonne of waste. Motivated by
the success of the first edition, EEG in partnership with the Department of Economic Advancement in UAQ even more rolled out the second
Clean Up Campaign from the 5 th to the 10 th of February, in the Emirate of Umm al Quwain. The Campaign observed involvement of greater
