SAKINAH Z. MUSTAFA















                                                               Sakinah is a mother of seven children whom she


                                                               believes in leaving a legacy of writings to give to her



                                                               future off-spring. Born in Harlem, New York, she


                                                               moved to Pennsylvania for many years and eventually



                                                               to Atlanta GA. enjoying the Muslim community for


                                                               twenty years. Sakinah moved back to Pennsylvania in



                                                               1999 where she pursued a Masters in Psychology



                                                               working as a Behavior Therapist for mental health. She


                                                               began documenting and producing her poetry, and



                                                               short stories as a way of self-healing.  Her poetry is



                                                               designed for inspirational and therapeutic healing


                                                               which is helpful in her role as a Behavior Therapist for


                                                               mental health.



                                                               Once returning back to Atlanta after a long period of



                                                               absence, Sakinah began to work as a Psychometrist


                                                               (person who does psychological testing), staring her



                                                               business called JHAMS Forever and publishing her



                                                               poetry book Gifts From The Heart which is both


                                                               inspirational and therapeutic. She has combined her



                                                               business JHAMS Forever and her writings to


                                                               encourage feelings, expression of struggle, self-



                                                               exploration and self-healing.



                                                               Sakinah prays Allah will continue to use her through


                                                               her writings, Gifts From The Heart to be a tool for



                                                               therapy and inspiration in all walks of life. Her writings


                                                               allow a chance of expressing feelings through a life



                                                               time of struggle, love, laughter, family bonding, self-



                                                               expression and self-healing.












                        Gifts From The Heart is a collection of poems and



                                        short stories that are both inspirational and


                            therapeutic for all walks of life. Sakinah’s writing



                          allows a chance of expressing feelings through a


                                               lifetime of struggle, love, laughter, family



                                  bonding, self-expression and self-healing. She



                              believes without the blessings and guidance of


                              Allah (SWT) her writings and knowledge would



                                                                                                               not be possible.
