Each of these theological dialogues has
its specific origin, history, process, and
methodology. Although they have different
priorities and emphases, they share the same
agenda, which includes topics and issues
related to the Holy Tradition, Bible, autho-
rity, conciliarity, christology, pneumatology,
ecclesiology, sacraments, and ethics. These
dialogues make statements, issue commu-
niqués, and produce study documents with
particular reference to the points of conver-
gence. They have led the churches to a better
understanding of each other’s theological
teachings, reduced the existing divergences,
and reaffirmed their commonalities.
