the Son. [The Holy Trinity is] one essence, one
power, one will, and one creative energy, [ex-
pressed] in three persons. [There is] neither
greatness nor smallness, neither highness nor
lowness, neither superiority nor inferiority; the
Holy Trinity is professed as being one rank, one
service, and one worship by whom all created
beings have came into existence out of nothing,
the heavens and all that are heavenly, the earth
and all that are earthly, the visible and invisible
created beings which were created at the first

creation."
According to Armenian theology, God is
transcendent and immanent. God is also
Trinity. The revealed God cannot be con-
ceived outside of the three persons. God is
Trinity in Himself (essential Trinity); He also
acts as a Trinity in His revelation (economic
Trinity). And not only do the three persons
of the Holy Trinity share ad intra the one and
the same essence, but also the act of one
person ad extra is equally shared by the
others, each person preserving its properties
and distinct role. The persons of the Trinity
act differently, according to their specific
role, but not independently. The Armenian
theology stresses the comprehensive and
holistic nature of the creative and redemp-
tive act of the Holy Trinity. The Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-substantial
and co-essential (homo-ousios), they are also
co-creator, co-worker and of one will. The
