STUDIO
In 2024, MCCAM was able to complete moving all their equipment
and servers from the Town Hall Basement to the studio/ofice
location in the Town Hall Annex. Part of that move involved
installation of a direct fiber feed between the Town Hall and the
Studio that is owned and used by MCCAM only. The MCCAM
Cablecast system was upgraded making the move an easier process
by installing the new one then moving the data to it. In April of 2024,
Verizon added an HD channel to our system. The upgrade of our
Cablecast playback system was also needed to be able to schedule
and program the new HD channel. The HD channel can be found on
Verizon channel 2135.
The control room in the studio was completed, adding a new audio
mixer and built in microphones in the studio. Cameras were installed
in the kitchen at MCCAM to create a new multi-camera kitchen
studio. New workstations were added to the MCCAM training room.
New furniture (stackable, rolling tables) was purchased for the
studio to be used for meetings and training. A teleprompter was
purchased and will be helpful for many studio shoots.
MCCAM continues to grow both our programming, use of the studio
and Access User enrollment.
