MEDIA DEPARTMENT
The Middleborough Media Department was formed in
early 2024. The objective of this new department is to assist
in the updating, creating, publishing and maintenance of
all the town’s digital needs including the Town website,
Town social media accounts, annual town reports and to
also support all Town departments with creative projects
requiring graphic design assistance as needed. A few town
departments will continue to maintain their own separate
websites and social media accounts.
GOALS
With the launching of this new department in 2024 there
were many goals set including:
• Redesign of the Town website
• Create new Instagram and LinkedIn accounts
• Convert/manage the Town Manager Facebook account
to Town of Middleborough
The Media Department consists of two town employees,
the Director of Media Technology, Karen Foye and
the Web Content & Social Media Specialist, Elizabeth
Gazerro and is located in the MCCAM ofice at 1 South Main
Street (the Town Hall Annex).
• Add missing minutes to the Town website
• Fix any broken links on the Town website
The Director of Media Technology has a dual role as she
continues to be the Cable Access Director for MCCAM.
As the Director of Media Technology, she reports to the
Town Manager. As the Cable Access Director, she continues
to report to the Permanent Cable Committee. Funding for
the dual-position is split between PEG Access Funds for
work with MCCAM and the General Fund for the Director of
Media Technology. The Web Content Specialist is funded by
the General Fund.
• Work with Town Departments to design/refresh their
webpage layouts to make them more user friendly
• Utilizing both MCCAM and social media resources,
connect the Middleborough Community with what’s
happening in local government
• Town facility reservations and meeting calendar
maintenance
• Finalize Annual Reports for 2021, 2022 and 2023 and
have them printed
• Work with Town Manager’s ofice and Community
Development on projects and events
