MENTAL HEALTH
In July of 2024, the Mental Health
Department was created and
I was hired for the role of Director
of Mental Health for the
Town of Middleborough. This
department works with community
members and town departments/
employees in order to support those
who have mental health or
substance use challenges.
I've been working primarily with the
Middleborough Police Department
We created a mental health/opiod
task force which is comprised of
individuals from various town
departments. During these task
force meetings, information is
shared and systematic approaches
are discussed.
I've coordinated Mental Health First
Aid trainings for employees in order
for them to recognize and assist
those who may be having a mental
health challenge.
