Local buyers.
A look at who’s likely to be interested in your home.
Families.
A large number of young families are currently moving into the area from their apartments on the Lower North Shore,
Eastern Suburbs and Northern Beaches. They’re looking to upgrade to a larger home with a backyard at a more
reasonable price compared to many of the neighbouring suburbs.
Executives.
The expansive size of both the main living and entertaining areas will make your home very appealing to executives
and their families. The majority of this group are looking for a home they can move into straightaway, one that doesn’t
need renovations and is finished to an above-average standard.
Downsizers.
As a low-maintenance, single-level apartment, your property will be a popular option for Downsizers. They’re looking
to move from their current, high-maintenance home to one that let them enjoy their retirement and gives them the
ability to ‘lock up and leave’ when they’ pursue their travel plans.
Investors.
In recent months, we’ve seen an increase in the number of local investors looking for a home like yours. Unlike other
buyers, the important factors for this group are: low-maintenance property, good rental return and close proximity to
transport and amenities.
Out-of-area buyers.
We are seeing plenty of out-of-area buyers coming primarily from the North Shore and Eastern Suburbs. These
buyers seek out of the local area because they can get more space than they can afford in certain other areas and
are attracted to the great schools, proximity to beaches, strong community atmosphere and renowned recreational
attractions.
Expat buyers.
Our local property market has enjoyed consistently high demand from expats. Many seek to purchase an investment
property with the intention of moving into the premises when they return from overseas. For this reason, this
demographic particularly look for properties which generate strong rental return.
International buyers.
In recent years we have also seen particularly strong demand from international buyers. With Foreign Investment
Review Board (FIRB) legislation now more relaxed, it has paved the way for foreign buyers to secure certain types of
local property.
