Hola! That’s hello in Spanish. I’m Tania.
I’m making a video of my friend’s birthday party. This is Alicia. She comes
from Mexico. Mexican birthday parties are exciting. All of Alicia’s neighbors,
friends, and family are here. Alicia’s mother and aunts made lots of delicious
food. Here’s a rice and bean dish. These are tacos. Look at all this fruit. There is
watermelon and pineapple.
Right now, we are playing games. This is a pin~ata. They are breaking it open.
Candy and toys will fall from it.
Everyone runs to get some. Oh! They are ready to cut the birthday cake.
Everyone is singing a special song. It’s “Las Man~anitas.” Now, Alicia is opening
her gifts. She is getting many toys and clothes. Everyone is enjoying Alicia’s
birthday party.
It’s time to say adios. That means goodbye.
