World Heritage sites are treasures of the world. They are important
places for culture or nature. The Pyramids in Egypt are one of the
sites. They teach us about ancient culture. There is the tropical rain
forest of Sumatra in Indonesia. It is a World Heritage site, too. The
rain forest has different species of animals and plants. These sites
are culturally or naturally important. We should keep these sites.
So, UNESCO named them World Heritage sites.
