Solve the grid puzzles and find the puzzles that are used the most and
the fewest chips.
Materials: 1 Mini-calculation board, 4 White number chip sets (1-5),
16 Multiplication number chips ( )
1 Prepare the mini-calculation board, white number chips, and multiplication
number chips as shown below.
2 Look at the activity sheet in the next page and place the white number
chips on the board to make a grid puzzle. Note that place the white
number chip face down for the number 0.
3 Solve the puzzles (A, B, C, D) in order by placing the chips ( ) face
down on the board.
4 Count how many chips are used for each puzzle and find the puzzles
with the most and the fewest chips you have used.
