Materials: 2 Mini-calculation boards, 4 White number chip sets (1- 5),
15 Multiplication number chips ( , ) each, Number stickers

Let’s make a grid puzzle and swap it with other to solve the other player’s
puzzle.

Arith. 1. Each player takes one mini-calculation board, two white number chip sets,
Match a color of multiplication number chips.

2. Place some multiplication number chips face down in
the area ( ) of his/her board.

3. Place white number chips in the first row and the first 2 chips
column by counting the placed chips. If white number
chips are not enough to use, put the number stickers 3
on the white number chips that are not used to use
them. 2

4. Take all the multiplication number chips out and swap 3
the mini-calculation board with each other.

5. Each player places his/her multiplication number chips by looking at the
white number chips on the board that are placed by the other player.
6. The player who completes the puzzle first wins. Note that the player
who makes the puzzle incorrectly loses.
