Where Plants Come From 03
Plants come from seeds. For growth, seeds need water and soil.
They also need warmth. With these three things, seeds become
young plants — seedlings. Seedlings’ roots push down into the
soil. And their leaves push up. They grow and grow. They become
adult plants. They flower and have fruit. Now they can make seeds!
Plants drop seeds on the ground. Then, the seeds start their
new life again!
