T hese days, New Zealand is a very popular place for travelers.
New Zealand is about 1,000 miles east of Australia. The
country has two islands, the North Island and the
South Island. Both islands are beautiful and have
many fun activities.
The North Island has great beaches and
many water sports. The biggest city on the
North Island is Auckland. People call it the city of sails because there are so
many sailboats.
The South Island has very tall mountains. In the summer, many people go
hiking. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are excellent. The South
Island is a beautiful island. People make many movies on the South Island
because the mountains are so beautiful.
