Unit Overview
Problem solving strategies include directly solving, guess & checking, drawing
a picture, writing an expression, drawing a table, and finding a pattern. In this
unit, students will draw a table to solve a problem based on the given
information and learn problem solving strategies. Deduction is a process of
reorganizing existing information and knowledge through logic and reasoning
to reach a valid conclusion. In this unit, students will learn how to deduct
using tables to solve word problems. Students will develop the ability to solve
the problem using various methods along with the previous problem solving
methods.
