Learn How to Count in Tens
Students learned how to count in groups of tens in the last unit. In this unit, they will learn how to count,
read, and write in three to nine groups of tens (without using the ones).
Students will learn how whole numbers are formed by looking at how tens are formed (numbers up to 90).
This is an extension from learning numbers up to twenty. Have students skip-count by tens using objects
and learn the order of numbers, and then compare the different numbers of objects.
