The Word Form 6 60
Some students might find it difficult to write the tens in word Six Sixty
form. In this case, have them write 1-digit numbers in word form 70
to get more familiar with using word forms. Have students add 7 Seventy
“-ty” to the end of the word (1-digit number) to make the word Seven 80
form for 60, 70, 80, and 90. The meaning of “-ty” is “tens more.” Eighty
