As of September 2009, Public debt outstanding stood at 4,002.03 billion Baht (44.23% of GDP)
which is increased from 3,408.33 billion Baht (37.56% of GDP) at the end of September 2008. Out of
total outstanding debt in fiscal year 2009, 2,586.51 billion Baht or 65% of total debt was direct
government debt, 1,108.67 billion Baht or 28% of total debt was non-financial state enterprises debt,
208.70 billion Baht or 5% of total debt was special financial institution guaranteed debt and
98.15 billion Baht or 2% of total debt was FIDF debt.
