Social Media Musings – Part III My Reflections on the Practice and Life
   Leadership
If you act differently around your staff when you’re stressed, anxious or worried and you take out your emotions on them, you need to work on that. Stop apologizing and start acting in a manner that doesn’t require apologies.
If you’re a company, law firm, voluntary bar association, lawyer - you will be expected to have a position of what’s happening in our country. Think through your position. “I haven’t thought about it,” won’t be enough. No comment won’t suffice.
Empathy is the most important and yet most overlooked skill leaders can display.
In these times, communication is key, both with your team and your clients.
The hardest parts of a plan are the specific action steps you will take to complete the plan and the deadlines you set for yourself by which to complete them. Leaders who spend most of their time on the big idea and the big plan, and don’t spend the time or hard work to think through the action steps are setting up their team for failure.
Be a successful servant leader.
Everyone wants to be listened to. When leading, listen to your team.
Leaders serve.
