If you’re a lawyer, consider creating your own personal website. Having your own platform gives your control over your brand, message and content.
If you’re a young lawyer and want to learn a new area of law, dedicate X number of hours every week to learn that area and teach it to yourself. There are so many free resources out there that you can transform into a practice area expert on your own.
If you’re a law firm or voluntary bar association, go beyond the one-off webinars and consider putting together and pushing out entire online series and classes.
The best attorney marketing is quality work product.
So how do you continue to develop business
in this age of social distancing? Stay in touch with your contacts via e-mail, phone, text, instant messaging, etc.
Success is supported or undermined by our inner circle. Surround yourself with those who do, not those who talk about doing. I know folks who have talked about writing
a book for years. Just write it. Stop talking about it. Surround yourself with doers.
If it’s not on your calendar, you probably won’t get to it. Calendar business development and attorney marketing.
It’s possible you may not be able to attend a single lawyers’ conference this year. Have a plan to market from home for the remainder of 2020.
