Fed Serves - Doing Good Locally
With the desire to do good work locally, FedServes has selected the Children’s Hospital Colorado for
its FedServes project. Children’s Colorado is always in need of donations of
fleece blankets to provide comfort and warmth to patients during their hospital stay. Hand-tied fleece blankets are simple to make, and
children relish the opportunity to select one to keep at
a time when their personal choices are limited. We invite youtojoinusfora
half-hour or an hour to help make these blankets that will wrap these young patients in comfort and love.
Children’s Colorado is also constantly looking for donations of toys, books, stuffed animals, craft materials, and other gifts to keep the many playrooms throughout the hospital well stocked and to help the children and families feel at home. Play supports the healing process for the children and is incorporated into many treatment plans. You can view their wish list of items here. We will collect any donation items you would like to bring and will have them delivered to the hospital with the fleece blankets at the conclusion of the meeting.
