Be Aware and Be Prepared
Getting there
The Broadmoor is easily accessible from both Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and from Denver International Airport (DEN). COS is approximately 15 minutes from The Broadmoor, DEN is approximately
90 minutes from The Broadmoor. One-way or round-trip transportation services are available from either COS or DEN
to The Broadmoor through Gray Line Transportation (www.broadmoor.com/grayline) or by calling (855) 266-2522. Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance. If traveling from and to DEN, however, a rental car is recommended.
Dress Code and Weather
With daytime temperatures in the 70’s and nighttime temperatures around 60 degrees, there is no better time to visit Colorado Springs than July!
Overall, The Broadmoor is a relaxed resort. Recreation wear and casual dress are the general standard for the dress code.
For meetings and education sessions, we recommend business casual attire for attendees. Recommended attire for the evening events and specific activities is identified with each event. You will want to make sure to pack cocktail attire – preferably in purple, green, or gold – (and a wrap to keep you warm in the cool night air) for the Mardi Gras President’s Reception. For the final night’s Gala, you will want to bring your best denim and dress it up with lots of diamonds and sparkle.
Elevation
The elevation of The Broadmoor, at more than 6,200 feet above sea level, can affect new arrivals. Take it easy, and remember to stay well hydrated!
