Consultants Can Have Honest Conversations
Co-workers can have a hard time being honest with one another and with firm management. Consultants don’t have that issue. They’re being paid to be honest, and brutally so.
Consultants Can Have Dif ficult Conversations
To the extent your firm is having issues, they may be prompted by a partner behaving badly or a partner not pulling his weight. Nobody at the firm wants to be tasked to have those conversations. A consultant can take the heat for you and have those difficult conversations.
Strategic Planning for Law Firms
Consultants Can Prompt Troublesome
Partners to Speak and Act
Often troublesome partners know they are the problem, but they don’t want to admit it, discuss it or address it. Consultants, however, can have frank conversations with them individually or with the firm collectively, that will prompt them to look at themselves in the mirror, acknowledge their issues and speak out about and act on those issues.
Consultants Can Talk to Key Individuals and Identify Issues, Concerns and Problems
With their fresh and outside perspective, a consultant can speak with the key players at a firm and identify the primary issues, concerns and problems that a strategic plan should address.
