ALI FAKIH, PHD, PE, LEED AP
Principal

As a Professional Engineer for over 17 years, Ali has successfully managed the production
of a variety of public and private projects in the western U.S.
Ali is committed to continual research and contributions to the LEED program in civil
engineering applications. All SEG project specifications are reviewed for environmentally
friendly products; best management practices incorporate green alternatives. Natural
solutions for erosion and dust control are considered in design applications. Ali’s research
includes economically feasible bio-solutions for treating storm water and grey water. Ali
founded SEG based the principle “LEEDing and Developing Smart Projects. As Principal
and Project Manager, Ali has successfully managed the production of many Hydraulic /
Hydrology Projects, Public Roadway projects, and Land Development Projects in Arizona
for both Maricopa County and State of Arizona Transportation Departments’ on-call
engineering contracts. Ali requires value engineering at the start of all projects to ensure
successful realization of budget and timeline goals. He determines, monitors and reviews
costs, operational budgets, schedules, and staffing requirements for project teams.
Ali was recently honored as one of Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 under 40 members for
2017.

DAVID GULINO, PE
Principal - Construction Management Department

David manages the Construction Management Department at SEG. He is a Professional
Civil Engineer and General Contractor with over 20-years of experience. As founder of
Land Development Services, he has provided comprehensive land use, development and
construction project management services for clients across the western U.S.
David is an expert in the management services required for the project development and
design of the construction of roads, utility distribution infrastructures, commercial, and
residential structures. In addition to preparing budgets and schedules, David’s background
includes securing entitlements, com-piling property acquisition data, and coordinating
regulatory agency approvals. Prior to moving into the Construction Management side of
the industry, David was Senior Engineer for the City of Scottsdale. He was responsible
for engineering evaluations for development projects and developed the protocol for
infrastructure development design standards for Environmentally Sensitive Lands.
