Our thanks go to all the staff and volunteers involved at our clubs and associations who helped manage the many changing conditions
THE BOARD AND STAFF
I would like to thank the Board for its ongoing and continual support, those members
being Fiona Notley (Chair), Jennifer Riatti (past Chair), Sandra Riches, Cassandra Wright, Steve Bezant, Phil Nixon and newly appointed Lorraine Driscoll, Cheryl Kickett- Tucker and Michael Quirk for their dedication and the free time that they so willing give
to Basketball WA. 2022 was also a sad year where we mourned the loss of our past BWA Chair – Keith Dunlap. His passion and vision was to ensure the sport of basketball aimed to the “improve the life of Western Australians’ through basketball”.
Keith will be sadly missed.
I would also like to thank the hard-working staff at BWA who do the big jobs in implementing our programs, supporting our members and driving the sport forward. They are always willing go over and above whenever required and serve the sport with distinction.
The sport of basketball is delivered by a variety of stakeholders and has a strong
and professional affiliated membership determined to make a difference in the community. We couldn’t function without the support of our key partners and our deepest thanks go to Healthways, the Department
of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Insurance Commission and Venues West for their ongoing support and commitment to the sport of Basketball.
Robert Clement
CEO, Basketball WA
“To cap off such a successful season, it was a real sweetener to see our two own WA teams (Rockingham Flames men’s team and Warwick Senators women’s team) take home both victories at the National finals. Well done WA! ”
