Summer Camp is off to a fun and fast-paced start and save the date for the Bristol Old Home Day and the TTCC’s Famous Lobster-Chicken Dinner sched- uled for August 23rd this year. The Westward Bound Teen Ex- pedition Project is gearing up for their 15th annual trip out West and we have completed our major renovation project with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for this September. We have also recently received several generous grants from the Madelaine von Weber Trust and the Franklin Savings Bank Com- munity Fund for our New Music Program being offered in the Fall. We are able to do all of this because of your ongoing support as our Annual Fund still has four months to go as we hope to reach our goal this year, -please Donate Today!
We’re a few weeks into the Summer Camp Season and are already having an awesome time with our four camps — PLAY, QUEST, STREAMS & KNOTS — averaging over 150 campers per day! So far, we’ve gone on exciting field trips to Clark’s Trading Post, Nova Trampoline Park, Block Party Social, Cowabunga’s, and more. We’ve spent plenty of time at Wellington Beach, and when we can't get there, we cool off with water games at Kelley Park. We have all enjoyed theme days like Pirate and Western Day and participated in specialty activi- ties like crafts, cooking, and pro- grams with the Newfound Lakes Region Association.
Behind the scenes of all this fun, we have an amazing sum- mer team that consists of 33 full-time staff, 2 bus drivers, our part-time “craft lady”, 6 sub- stitute counselors, and about a dozen awesome CITs (Counsel- ors in Training). We also hosted a great Summer Camp Family Cookout at the beautiful Slim Baker Lodge! Stay tuned and visit our website {www.ttccrec. org} as we’ll be adding tons of pictures so you can see all the fun for yourself!
We have scheduled our Lob- ster and Chicken Dinner held during Bristol Old Home Day for August 23rd, from 5;30pm
to 7:30pm, as you can reserve your tickets now for this end of summer favorite. Tickets are available online and at the Tap- ply-Thompson Community
Center or at Kelley Park that day - while still available! Dinner Music will be provided by Soli- tary Man.
The Old Home Day fun starts
with a hearty pancake breakfast hosted by the local Masons from 7:30–10:30 AM at the Union Lodge Masonic Hall, 18 Pleasant Street in Bristol. The fun then continues in Kelley Park, located off North Main Street, beginning at 10:00 AM with activities run- ning until 3:00 PM.
