On Friday, June 20th, the Mayhew Program held a chris- tening ceremony to welcome its two new pontoon boats, the Belle and the Cliff, to Mayhew Island. The Belle and Cliff are named after the other islands on Newfound Lake. Our Link-Up boys sleep in Belle Island, and Cliff Island is where local youth groups can overnight on New- found Lake.
Mayhew is grateful for The Samuel P. Hunt Foundation, the
McIninch Foundation, and the Madelaine G. Von Weber Trust for investing in these boats and our boys!
The Portsmouth Rotary Club, the Concord Kiwanis Club, the Hooksett Kiwanis Club and the Eastern Bank Foundation pro- vided the outfitting of the boats. Mayhew is appreciative of our community partners, and the lasting impact they have on the program.

strumental in ordering and de- livering these newest additions to our waterfront.
Mayhew challenges and helps at-risk New Hampshire boys to believe in themselves, work well with others, and find their best. It is the only all-boys program in the state that combines school- year mentoring and a residential summer program for at-risk boys, tuition-free, through high school graduation.
All Mayhew participants ben-
efit from regular mentoring visits in their home communities from Mayhew's team of professional outreach staff in one-on-one and small group settings throughout the year.
The boys enter the program at age 10 and embark on an 8-year journey with school year mentoring and a summer expe- rience that focuses on respect,
responsibility, community, and challenge.
Mayhew believes in boys be- fore they believe in themselves. Since 1969, Mayhew has worked with over 2,400 boys from all across the state.
