 WHITETAIL

people will buy tickets or a table to participate. The organization hopes to raise funds from the event; half will go to their local chapter, while the other half will go to Whitetails Unlimited. The auctions and raffles offer a variety of great items to be on the lookout for! Tibbits tells me that there are great things to win, from car wash items to jewelry to hunting blinds and much more.
Our local chapter puts the funds that they receive towards shooting sports, hunting heri- tage, sponsoring Vets and law enforcement officers on hunting trips, and more. Bill Tibbits, the President of the New Hampshire Chapter, tells me that some of their funds go towards the Vets and injured law enforcement to get them involved in hunting trips and shooting sports. The chapter also gives scholarships to Barry Conservation Camp for youngsters that have an interest in hunting, shooting sports, and
becoming a Conservation Offi- cer.
Tibbits says that since they are in the beginning stages of plan- ning everything, they are hoping to generate as many funds as pos- sible. The local chapter is based on donations and fundraising, so if anyone wants to donate to help the cause, they are more than welcome! Tibbits also in- forms me that they are planning more events in the upcoming year, that they will need dona- tions for, so all are welcome to look into those events. For more information on the banquet and their upcoming events, check out their Facebook page at https:// www.facebook.com/profile. php?id=100066675459876.
Tickets to the banquet are $50 for singles, $35 for spouses, and $25 (15 and under) for ju- niors. The social hour will begin at 4:30pm, and the dinner will be at 6:00pm.
Pat Sleeper, (pictured) Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Franklin liaison to the Twin Rivers Food Pantry, spear-headed the collection of warming items to be donated to the Twin Rivers Food Pantry in Franklin where they will be given out to those in need. 29 hats, 26 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of mittens, and 4 scarves were hand-made or purchased and donated by UUCF members.
