 Your Insurance Guy
  By Jim King neWfounD insuRance
Most of the articles I write are about Insurance and the best way to manage your risk by making sure you have the proper coverages. It’s a rele- vant topic for everyone, espe- cially in this period of soaring costs and ever more expensive repairs. Keeping you and your family properly protected is an important mission and I take it seriously.
This month. I’d like to change the focus of our conver- sation.
In Gratitude
As we celebrate the holidays, a time when we are moved to reflect on those things for which we are grateful and to give thanks, I’d like express my grat- itude for a small group of in- dividuals that work really hard at making the Newfound area a thriving business location.
There is no question, New- found Lake is the attraction that draws people to the area. Without “The Lake” this area would likely still be farmland or perhaps still wilderness.
“The Lake” bring visitors and their needs. The obvi- ous benefit is the money that flows into the local economy. It’s not trivial by any measure. But without local businesses to support the needs of the vis- itors, their stays would be far less memorable and despite the attraction of “The Lake” many might not return year after year
as they do now.
A healthy local business
economy also provides jobs, and tax revenues. Critical parts of a healthy local community.
I’d like to acknowledge the group of local individuals that have come together to support all the business in the New- found area. They tirelessly vol- unteer their time and energy to support each other and the local businesses in the New- found Area. They organize events like the Bridgewater Turkey Trot and the annual business map that highlights Newfound area business estab- lishments. All of their efforts are focused on a healthy New- found area business economy that serves residents and visitor which in turn leads to a healthy local and vibrant community. For their efforts we should all be grateful.
10. Recycle Responsibly
Once the holiday season comes to an end, recycle your Christmas tree responsibly. Many communities offer tree re- cycling programs, and the mulch created from recycled trees can be used for landscaping projects. Check with your local waste management or municipality for designated drop-off points or curbside pick-up options.
Conclusion: A Vibrant and Merry Christmas Tree
With these tips and tricks, your Christmas tree can stand as a vibrant and merry center- piece throughout the holiday season. From the moment you select the perfect tree to the day you bid it farewell, proper care and attention will ensure it re- mains a symbol of festive joy. With a well-hydrated tree, stra- tegic placement, and a touch of festive flair, your Christmas tree can genuinely embody the spirit of the season—healthy, vibrant, and ready to shine bright.
