NRHS Senior Class to Host First-Ever Craft Fair & Yard Sale
Community
The senior class at NRHS will host its first-ever Craft Fair and Yard Sale on Friday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., marking what organizers hope will become a lasting annual tradition at the school. The event was created to bring together students, families, and community members for a day of shopping, socializing, and supporting the Class of 2026.
According to senior class ad- visor Amy Ballou, the Craft Fair and Yard Sale is being organized entirely by the NRHS senior class as a major fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will go toward helping offset the costs as- sociated with the senior class trip, graduation-related expenses, and the class gift.
“This is our first time host- ing a Craft Fair and Yard Sale, and we’re really excited about the level of interest we’ve seen so far,” Ballou said. The students have been working hard to plan and promote the event, and it’s
been great to see their enthusi- asm and teamwork.
Over 40 vendors have already signed up to participate, offering a wide variety of items for shop- pers to browse. Vendors will fea- ture handmade crafts, artwork, decorations, gifts, and a range of yard sale items. Attendees can expect to find something for ev- eryone, whether it be a unique handcrafted piece or a practical everyday item that you can use forever. Some vendor items in- clude silicone beads, 3D items, candles, crotchet pieces, jewelry woodcrafts, and so much more.
In addition to the vendor booths, the event will include sev- eral extra attractions to make the experience one for the books. A raffle will be held throughout the day, along with a silent auction table featuring donated items. Concessions will also be avail- able, allowing attendees to enjoy snacks and refreshments while they shop.
Ballou and fellow senior class advisor Jenn Bastarache have been working closely with stu- dents to organize all aspects of the event. Through the planning process, students have gained valuable hands-on experience in event coordination, fundraising, communication, and community engagement.
Community members are encouraged to attend the Craft Fair and Yard Sale to support the senior class while enjoying a fun and accessible local event. Proceeds will directly benefit the Class of 2026 and help ensure that end-of-year celebrations and long-standing senior traditions can take place.
The Craft Fair and Yard Sale will be held indoors at NRHS, making it a rain-or-shine event open to the public.
