rival at the finish line, pushing a young boy in a stroller as he ran. The Dynamic Duo became this year’s overall winner with a net time of 25:22, followed by 38-year-old Peter Jacques at 25:48, and 51-year-old Ryan Twomey at 26:21.
Finishing first among the women was Katherine D. Or- villiers, 28, just under 5 minutes behind Jacques with a net time of 30:37. Second for the women
was Katherine Bemis at 32:01, and third was Kaitlyn York with a net time of 32:38.
For the youth, there were also some impressive runs once again this year. 17-year-old Theodore Faust came over the line in 9th place with his net time of 30:28, while 15-year-old Ryan Blais was 14th with a finish of 32:00, and ten-year-old Colin Mar- tens had an impressive time of 34:09, placing him 25th overall.
As Colin’s dad congratu- lated him on his first-ever race, he said his son hadn’t actually taken part in races in the past, but playing soccer has kept him in great shape for running.
Fourteen-year-old Myla Small was the first young female to complete her run at 33:57, while 12-year-old Kyra Camp- bell followed her at the finish line just behind her at 34:43. Third for the younger girls was
another 12-year-old, Georgia Sweeney, with her time of 35:04. The Board of Directors for the Newfound Area Charita- ble Fund would like to thank all sponsors and everyone who came out this year to participate in the Run Your Buns Off 4.2 Mile race or cheer their friends and loved ones as they supported
local charitable organizations.
