managing Type 2 diabetes.
This workshop is especially helpful for those who have been newly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, as well as family mem- bers and caregivers who want to better understand how they can
provide support.
Participants will receive prac-
tical information and handouts to take home, followed by a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions and discuss their own concerns in a welcoming, sup- portive environment.
A diabetes diagnosis can sometimes feel like being handed a whole new rulebook for life.
But managing diabetes doesn’t mean giving up everything you enjoy — and it certainly doesn’t mean you have to figure it all out at once. Small, realistic changes in what you eat, how much you move, and how you approach your health can add up to mean- ingful results.
“Our goal is for people to leave feeling empowered rather than overwhelmed,” said Walsh. “There are many things individ- uals can do every day to support their health, and we want to pro- vide information that is practical, understandable, and encourag- ing.”
The workshop is FREE and open to the public, but registra- tion is required by October 2nd. To reserve your spot, please call 603-536-2232.

NASS is looking for Home-Delivered Meal drivers/ volunteers. Do you have a couple of hours in the mornings to do- nate your time to this great pro- gram? This information is from
the Meals On Wheels Website: “Please note: Local meal provid- ers are currently experiencing higher than usual demand for services. Who’s eligible? Adults 60+ with mobility challenges that make it hard to shop for food, prepare meals or socialize with others. Age requirements and eligibility may vary by area and provider.” This increased need for meals is why drivers are so important and need is so great.
