There’s No Place Like Homecoming
 Newfound Regional High School has officially kicked off its new year and is happily in the swing of things! Fall is always such a fun time for NRHS be- cause students get to participate in their fun-filled homecoming activities.
Homecoming kicked off on September 28th with its annual homecoming dance. Jason Rob- ert, NRHS principal, said that 35 to 40% of the student body came out to dance the night away. The following week, the school had theme days, in which the student council based each day on the
Fall Play, which was The Wiz- ard of Oz, hence their phrase, “There’s No Place Like Home- coming.” There was a pumpkin decoration contest, the annual lip
sync, and, of course, they ended the exciting week with the well- known bonfire.
Of course, the lively spirit of homecoming wouldn’t exist with-

out all the sports games to add to the fun atmosphere. Boys' and girls' soccer, the girls' volleyball team, and football also had their games. Students also got to cheer on those who participated in the unified sports soccer game.
NRHS also started out the year with some fantastic field trips! English grade nine hon-
ors took a trip to Boston to see Romeo and Juliet while the En- glish Mythology and Folklore went to the Hannah Duston Memorial State Historic Site in Boscawen.
The Robotics Team also re- ceived a grant from Freudenberg, and they will attend the Gover- nor's Ball with their robot.
