Autumn gives us a chance to see our for- ests in a new way as falling leaves reveal the structure beneath and around them. Join Newfound Lake Region Associa- tion (NLRA) Education & Outreach Man- ager Mirka Zapletal for an autumn hike Thursday, November 7th in the Hebron Town Forest at 10am exploring the fall landscape and what it tells us about wa- ter quality in the watershed. Participants will hike the Cockermouth Ledge Loop, an approximately 2 mile trip with some steep sections, which includes views of Newfound Lake and Groton. INSPIRATION POINT

301 New Chester Mountain Road, Bristol Take a hike on the Worthen Trail to the summit of Little Round Top and Inspira- tion Point following the magical glow of trailside ice luminaries along the way. This is a self-guided event, leaving from the parking lot of the Slim Baker Area. Each luminary is unique and beautiful as they are all handmade by our boardmembers and local volunteers. In the event of snow or ice on the trails, we reccommend you wear snowshoes or ice traction devices for your safety. This trail gains approximate- ly 800 feet of elevation and has several steep sections along the way. This event is free and open to the public. No registra- tion is necessary to participate.

Registration for Youth Basketball is open now with a skills assessment scheduled for November 23rd at the Bridgewater-He- bron Village School for grades 1-6. All 1st and 2nd grade players will meet from 8:30 – 9:30am, all 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grade girls meet at 9:45-10:45am and all 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grade boys will meet from 11am-12pm. The cost is $40 per player for Li’l Hoops & the grade 1/2 Division and $50 per player for 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 & HS.
