BRISTOL - Brent and Stormy Goudreau started Fork N The Toad Nursery out as a family project and a way to bring joy and beauty into the commu- nity at a difficult time during the pandemic. While producing the flowers and bulbs, they have had many laughs, a few tears, and a whole lot of enjoyment from the growth of the nursery and the interactions with the supportive public.
“We named the nursery after our first location for our nursery which was a fork in the road, and with the help of the kids and grandchildren and a play on words we decided to name it Fork N The Toad Nursery. Now the trick is to get the grandchildren to wear the toad outfits to adver- tise the nursery. So far no luck” says Brent. Samantha Davis, their daughter, has done wonder- ful art work for the design of the business logo, and all the fam-

ily members have contributed with ideas, sales, and the energy needed to run the nursery.
“Our aim is to produce unique perennial plants, flowers, and bulb collections designed for the USDA Agricultural Zone 5 area in which we live. We did not want to grow perennial plants and flowers that you could get anywhere and are very common. Our idea is to build a neighbor- hood nursery that is able to sug- gest landscaping ideas and be available anytime to help answer questions and concerns with the beautiful plants and flowers that are grown here on site,” said Stormy
We love being in Bristol and we look forward to being a part of the community and support- ing local events. We have very much enjoyed the interactions with our neighbors in Bristol, and are excited to tell them about our upcoming projects and flow-
ers that we are growing for next season, Spring 2022.
We will offer wonderful Tulip Bulbs from Holland, but grown here on site for Fall planting and/ or Spring Cut Flowers/Sales, along with unique “hair” Alli- ums, Giant Alliums, several dif- ferent types of beautiful hibiscus with deep red, pink, and white flowers. Edible Hanging Plants will include Nasturtiums, Sweet Potato Vines, and Chiles just to name a few. In addition we will be growing beautiful Snapdrag- ons, Zinnias, and Carnations for cut flowers and planted pots for Spring of 2022.
We intend to be here for quite some time and want to let the community know that we ap- preciate their support and will answer any and all questions and do our very best to make their experience at Fork N The Toad Nursery the best it can be!
