years. Run Your Buns Off is a wonderful event that brings the community together while fund- raising for local non-profits. The event gained quite a bit of trac- tion over the years that RYBO formed a 501(c)3 nonprofit, the Newfound Area Charitable Fund, to continue assisting local causes. Since the race started in 2009, RYBO has proudly distributed $93,500 back to the Newfound community. This year, the race will be held in person on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, on Labor Day week- end!
Race Director Goudie stated, “We are incredibly proud that our hometown Run Your Buns Off race has given back $93,550 to worthy causes and programs in our community. It is truly amazing when we sit back and realize that this fun, little home- town event is entering its thir- teenth year, and we are hoping to exceed the $100,000 mark after this year’s event!”
The race starts and finishes at Basic Ingredients Bakery and Gift Shop located on Route 3A in Bristol. Runners head north on Route 3A, turns left onto Whittemore Point Rd. North continuing on the “Whittemore Point Loop” until returning

When speaking to Goudie, she let me know that the locals have made this event a staple in the community. Residents of the Newfound area say RYBO is

It’s incredible to see how big this event has grown over the past twelve years. RYBO has donated so much to the com- munity, and it started with just two girls who liked to run and eat sticky buns. For the third

year in a row, RYBO has se- lected the NH Food Bank as it’s race beneficiary. Each February they use the funds to host a mo- bile food pantry in Bristol. Last year’s event was held February 12th, and served over 280 local families with nutritious food enough to last them over a week. Goudie told me that people who came to the food drive didn’t even have to get out of their cars, and there were no ques- tions asked. All they wanted to do was make sure families had food on their tables.
When asked about how she feels about the event and the community, Goudie stated, “The Newfound community is
