Cars! Cars! Cars! A Parade of Cars!
Who doesn’t love watching a fantastic parade of antique and classic cars? Newfound residents are probably familiar with the infamous Antique and Classic Car Parade that makes its loop around Newfound Lake. This year, the parade sets off on Au- gust 6th at noon, beginning in Bridgewater. Parade Cars assem- ble by year at 305 Whittemore Point Rd North, Bridgewater.
Anne Bryan, the founder of the car parade, has been put- ting hard work into this event for quite a few years. “People really just love this event,” Bryan told
me. “It’s a great atmosphere, and it’s really fun for families. Pedes- trians can just sit back and enjoy the parade, and car owners can show off their cars!” Last year, the parade totaled at 98 cars, and over the years, they have seen anywhere between 80 and 100 vehicles for people’s viewing pleasure.

“I love this event because it adds to the fact that people don’t have to leave the lake for yet an- other fun event,” Bryan beamed. Newfound Lake is known for having plenty of great activities for everyone, and the car parade is just another one to add to the fun! Hopefully, it will be a “top- down” kind of day on August 6th as these classic and antique cars make their way around the lake. There are plenty of spots
around the lake to sit back, relax, and enjoy this amazing parade of exceptional cars. And, of course, don’t forget to wave!
