Swim With A Mission orig- inated from the conviction that no veteran should endure diffi- culty in accessing the necessary support and resources. Founded on the principle that every indi- vidual who has served and their families has made significant sacrifices to uphold our freedom, Swim With A Mission is dedi- cated to honoring and assisting veterans in need. The mission is deeply rooted in the understand- ing that the freedoms we enjoy as a nation come at a price, paid by the brave individuals who have served in defense of our coun- try. All are invited to join in this important journey to support, as- sist, and honor our veterans.
Their first event in 2017 was a swim across Newfound Lake. It was a success, so they expanded our efforts. They now offer events like Paintball With A Mis- sion and SWAM's Navy SEAL Gold Star Family Tribute Dinner and Auction.
This year, the swim will be held on Saturday, July 13th, at Wellington State Park on New- found Lake in Bristol, NH. Swim

Phil and Julie Taub had al- ways wanted to start a swim race and thought Newfound Lake was the perfect place to do it. With the money they’ve raised, they
select five to ten organizations a year where they can support their veterans. The services range from scholarships for children of a parent who died in service, tak-

As the organization evolves
and gains deeper insights into the needs of veterans, there is a growing emphasis on mental health and reducing veteran sui- cide rates. This involves strategic funding for recreational retreats that facilitate connections among veterans, as well as support for equine immersion programs, art therapy, and mental health coun- seling.
Additionally, efforts are di- rected toward providing service and support dogs to as many veterans as possible. By promot- ing collaboration among veteran service organizations, the aim is to ensure that fewer veterans slip through the cracks. The annual summit convenes local veteran service organizations, the VA, and other stakeholders to foster closer cooperation and address the pressing concerns facing vet- erans in the community.
They also have their Green Beret With a Mission Challenge on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Experience an extraordinary team-building fitness challenge led by U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret Soldiers. This event promises a unique and enjoyable experience for endurance, Cross- Fit, and adventure athletes alike! Held in Bristol, it's an epic op- portunity you won't want to miss.

and we want to help.” With the impact Swim with a Mission has made over the past few years, the community is coming to- gether to help improve veterans’ lives in the best way they can. Taub stated, “The biggest les- son we’ve learned is that if you put your heads together, you can help people. This whole thing turned out to be more reward- ing than we ever thought.” And after speaking with Julie this year about the event, she had this to say. “When we started doing this, we never dreamed that it would become so big, and we couldn’t be happier with everything that’s happened from
