Entry Guidelines are as follows:
The scarecrows should be 4 to 6 feet tall and on a solid frame. Frames are available for purchase from the Bristol Historical Society for only $3.00! If you wish to purchase one contact Lucille Keegan at 603-744-2751.
• Entries may begin arriving on October 1, 2023.
• You may display your entry on the common in Central Square, OR in front of your house OR outside of your business.
• Scarecrows in the square must have an identification tag with your name and contact information.
• Submit a photo of your scarecrow to bristolevents@bristolnh. gov and we will post your photo on our Facebook Page for com- munity Voting.
• To be eligible to win a prize you must complete and display your scarecrow and submit an entry form & photo by October 23, 2023.
Entry forms can be downloaded on the bristolevents@bristolnh.gov or pick one up at the Town Offices, the TTCC or the Minot-Sleeper Library.
Scarecrow Frame Sale
It’s almost time for the annual Bristol Scarecrows on the Square display. Scarecrow frames are available to purchase from the Histori-

“Pumpkin Guts”
Slime Recipe

Looking for something to do
inside on one of those rainy
or colder days with your little
one? Well, look no further be-
cause I’m coming at you with theinfamous“pumpkinguts” •Dropafewdropsoforange recipe! Kids of all ages love
playing with this homemade Halloween-themed slime.
Here’s what you’ll need to make it:
1 airtight container
1 five oz bottle of clear glue 1⁄2 cup water
1⁄2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp contact solution Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin Pie Seasoning Orange food coloring Small bowl
food coloring and stir.
What to do:
• In a bowl, pour the entire 5oz bottle of clear glue, and then add 1⁄2 cup of water.
• Add in 1⁄2 tsp baking soda and stir.
• Pour in some pumpkin seeds.
• Add a few drops of pumpkin pie fragrance oil (If you have it)
• Add 1 tbsp contact solution. It will instantly begin to form.
• Mix the solution in the bowl until it starts to form.
• Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.
• Store in an airtight container.
And then you have a fun Halloween sensory activity for your kids!
