“I see Chamber member- ship as a way for businesses and community members to con- nect, support each other, and grow together,” said Agey. “The Chamber gives people a voice, access to resources, and oppor- tunities to build relationships that benefit both their business and the community as a whole, and I’m excited to be part of that.”
Introducing Billie Agey CNHCC’s New Executive Director
The Central New Hamp- shire Chamber of Commerce (CNHCC) has hired Billie Agey of Belmont, New Hampshire, as its new executive director. The Chamber serves more than 20 towns in the greater Plymouth area.
Agey takes over for Martha “Matty” Leighton, who an- nounced her retirement late last year, ending a four-year tenure as executive director. Leighton helped the Chamber rebound from the pandemic years by growing membership and rev- enue, increasing the frequency and quality of events, revitaliz- ing and expanding the annual Travel & Tourism Seminar, and adding new events and services such as monthly Coffee with CNHCC gatherings, an annual awards ceremony, and member- ship benefit planning for new members.
A New Hampshire native, Agey also works part-time as operations and marketing man-
ager at Cottage Place on Squam Lake in Holderness, giving her a working knowledge of the needs of local businesses and the challenges they face. Agey previously served as District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America, where she devel- oped expertise in membership growth and retention, commu- nity partnership building, and fundraising. Agey holds a bach- elor’s degree in Psychology and Art, which shapes her approach to working with people, bring- ing ideas to life, and creating meaningful customer experi- ences.

ing, event planning, and strategic communication gives her the versatility and practical leadership skills this role de- mands. She has a demonstrated
ability to connect with people, manage complex operations, and turn ideas into meaningful action. We’re confident in her ability to build on the strong foundation established by out- going Executive Director Matty Leighton and help lead the Chamber into its next chapter.”
“I was drawn to the role of Executive Director because it offers the opportunity to sup- port and strengthen the local business community,” said Agey. “My goals with the Chamber are to help the region grow, sup- port our community, and foster success and positivity for local businesses and the people who live and work here.”
